toniduntonbutlerToni is a seasoned organizational development consultant.  As president of A Silver Thread, Inc., for the last 25 years she has partnered with leaders to make conscious, creative and practical choices to change the status quo. These decisions undermine the power inequity in organizations to create multi-dimensional, diverse, inclusive, and highly productive organizations.

Toni has a M.Ed. in Counseling and has completed all course work for a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication from the University of Buffalo. She has certifications in The Leadership Circle Profile, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Percept Orientation and Self Differentiation: Training Theory and Practice. She is a member of NTL Institute.

Based in the DC area, she has worked in the US, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Her clients have included national and local non-profit social justice organizations, hospital systems, state and federal offices, and corporations.  She works with individuals, groups and whole systems to bring about transformative change.

In 2001 she co-presented WomenBridgeRace: The Connection Between Racial Legacies, Intimacy and the Use of Power for the Center for Gender Studies at Simmons College in Boston. She co-created a week long People of Color Workshop (a dialogue for men a women of color to explore issues of culture, color, class in organizations.) In 2007 she created the retreat, Releasing Our Voice, an experience for women in leadership.  She later designed and facilitated the workshop Every Woman Has a Voice for Hennah.dk– women of color who work for a more inclusive Danish Society at the Verdens Kultur Center, Copenhagen Denmark.  The Sweet Spot of Sisterhood is her latest offering.
